The electric company rebate is calculated on the actual
production of solar electricity your system produces. This is a function of
several factors, such as the direction the panels are facing, the tilt of the
panels and the shading. The type of panels installed also influences the rebate.
The rebate is tax free for homeowners. The 30% Federal Tax Credit (FTC) is taken
on the net value: Gross Cost less Rebate. The FTC can be rolled forward for 20
years.
* These results are approximate only. Your individual results
will depend on the position of your roof, the tilt of the roof, shading and your
current electric demand and use.
