| Putting Solar Panels (called Photo Voltaic or PV cells) on
your roof allows you to convert the energy of the sun into electricity. These
panels have no moving parts and last at least 25 years. There are many steps in
the process of designing the right system for your house.
Analyze the last year of electric bills. This tells us how
much your average daily use is.
Examine your roof to see how we can install the necessary
number of panels and electrical connectors. We use a licensed roofing contractor
so there are no leaks or damage to your roof and your roof warranty is still in
tact.
Perform an onsite sun study to determine if there is any shade
that will fall on the panels.
From this data we can design the system that fits your needs.
Because we have what is called "Net Metering" in California, if you produce more
than you use, the electric company will only reduce your electric bill, but not
allow it to give you credit. For this reason, your solar system is designed not
to be larger or more powerful than you need.
