3/11/09: Councilman Tom LaBonge, Fourth District, presents Norman Blaz with a Certificate of Appreciation. LADWP's Pamela Tiller and Kayle Thompson present Norman Blaz with rebate check for $152,662. Solar System consists of 284 Sharp panels (made in Tennessee) and 7 SMA Sunnyboy 7000 watt inverters.

As part of the ceremony, a knife switch lever was thrown to turn on a large compact fluorescent light (CFL) being driven by solar power.
